CNN Found Their Tea Party Story

Rep. Gresham Barret, R-South Carolina, recently faced a not-so-friendly crowd at a Tea Party protest. All last week, the tea parties were the brunt of jokes by the mainstream media, not worthy of their precious coverage, that is, until now…

Several Republican members of Congress spoke at Tea Party protests around the country on Wednesday. Some were applauded. Others heckled. But only one, it appears, was booed relentlessly for the entire duration of his speech: Rep. Gresham Barrett of South Carolina.

But that may have been an understatement, according to video of his remarks captured by the South Carolina political Web site “The Palmetto Scoop.” From the moment he was introduced to the Greenville crowd, his speech was drowned out by boos, turned backs and angry shouts “Go Home!”

That will probably be the only story CNN will push of the events. However, if they do, it’ll be fun to watch them explain how this fits their “I think you get the general tenor of this. It’s anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox” agenda.

I love my little home town! He tried to push all the right buttons that we here in the upstate hold dear, but nobody was buying it. I hope you are right, King, but Lindsey Graham managed to get rte-elected after his illegal immigration debacle with Ted Kennedy.
