Environmentalists utilize the standard liberal operating procedure: avoid debate at all costs. Barack Obama, like Al Gore, says the science is a done deal so STFU.
President Obama has said that the science of global warming is “beyond dispute,” and therefore settled. This is the justification for the imposition of a carbon cap-and-trade system that will cost $2 trillion.
But Obama does not understand science.
“Settled science” is an oxymoron, and anyone who characterizes science as “settled” or “indisputable” is ignorant not only of science, but also history and philosophy.
Ouch.
Deming’s a smart man. His statement was obvious, something everyone should have known, but sometimes one must say the obvious to remind others as to why it is so obvious.
Also a consensus has never been a good indicator of the right move, as far as I recall.
