Despite the facts in this case (that the media is taking their own damn time reporting), there are some who love repeating things that aren’t true.
There are the blissfully ignorant, or just plain liars.
The Republican Justice Dept. committed prosecutorial misconduct resulting in a Republican Senator probably losing his seat, so the Democratic AG not only drops the charges against him but says he won’t pursue a new trial, which keeps him out of jail. GET OUT OF HERE!! And I still didn’t care because from the facts he’s still guilty.
Yes, it’s nice to call it a “Republican Justice Department” while the players involved were either Democrat prosecutors or people who clearly had Democrat interests at heart. This is like Democrats now taking credit for the great economy during the Clinton years, while leaving out a Republican House and Senate that didn’t allow him to tax and spend like… Obama.

this is my logic of how i addressed the statement.
the crime was committed during a democratic administration.
the perpetrator was apprehended during a democratic administration.
the trial was held during a democratic administration.
the sentencing took place during a democratic administration.
the inmate was incarcerated during a democratic administration.
when clinton left office, he had the right to commute the sentence.
he did not.
but the left, criticized bush for allowing judicial procedure to go forth.

in oklahoma, he got off lucky.
the feds got him first.
If Stevens had been a democrat a good felony case would have sewn up his re-election victory. Hopefully, the good folks in Alaska won’t forget how his replacement won his seat. Couldn’t even imagine the firestorm if party labels had been reversed.
