While working for Fox Broadcasting’s On Air Promotion department during the nineties, we created many trailers and sales presentations of programs in which the “best” parts of the show were used. Basically, there was no need to watch the actual episode.
Obviously, not much has changed since.
With that, we finally got around to watching Quarantine last night.
Now while I can’t yet decide if I liked it or not, WHY did the promoters think it a good idea to use as its promotion (literally) the film’s last three seconds before the end credits for their posters and trailers, thus you know the over-hysterical, self-absorbed, unsympathetic female lead was doomed from the start?
If I spoiled the movie for you, look at your DVD case.

And also in fine Hollywood tradition, they simply used a movie that had already been released and made it more American.
call it “False advertising” or “sensationalist advertising” I suppose?
If you watched that movie to the end, you have a way stronger stomach than me. I can’t stand shaky-cam movies and this was the shakiest ever made. Pass the Dramamine please.
If it doesn’t have star or wars in the title, there’s a good chance I’ve not seen it.
