Did The Army Invade Alabama?

This is one of those scary scenarios we conspiracy-theorized for the last few months, given the possibility of an intolerant, liberal, authoritarian administration. Now, I’m not saying the federal government ordered the Army to take control of an American town.

The U.S. Army has launched an inquiry into how and why active duty troops from Fort Rucker, Ala., came to be placed on the streets of Samson, Ala., during last week’s murder spree in that tiny South Alabama community. The use of the troops was a possible violation of federal law.

“On March 10, after a report of an apparent mass murder in Samson, Ala., 22 military police soldiers from Fort Rucker, Ala., along with the provost marshal, were sent to the city of Samson,” Harvey Perritt, spokesman for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) at Fort Monroe, Va., told CNSNews.com on Monday.

The troops were apparently not deployed by the request of Alabama Gov. Bob Riley — or by the request of President Obama, as required by law.

This may have been an accident, but as we know from Hurricane Katrina, the president just can’t send American troops into a state without the expressed request of that state’s governor. If the governor doesn’t know nuthin’, then we have a problem.

Another tingle, another reason to be happy that Obama is in charge of the country.
    YIKES.

I’m getting those “tingles” too, not to mention the hairs standing up on the back of my neck!

  4. Nick says:

‘Rahmbo’ is a safe guess, Brandon.

gets me to wondering if the MPs were TOLD their presence there could be a violation of law, or Mr. O calls it “oops”

Bob, this is proof that YOU ROCK!

I live in Alabama, granted about 200 mi from Samson, but this is the first that I have heard of this. I think TRADOC has some explaining to do, as well as the Ft. Rucker post commander and Secretary Gates.
