Another Phantom Middle Class Tax Cut

Obama middle class tax cutIn 1992, Bill Clinton ran on a middle class tax cut which he quickly abandoned shortly after being elected. In 2008, Barack Obama promised the middle class a tax cut again. However promises and truth can be two different things.

FactCheck: Tax cut only helps 75% of workers, not 95%
Obama said his stimulus program provides a tax cut for “95% of working households” and later said that a cut would go to 95% of “working families.” That calls for some explanation. The key words are “working” and “cut.”

He’s referring to the “making work pay” refundable tax credit, which is only available to workers. There would be no credit for retirees or those who are unemployed; a more modest 75.5% of all households would benefit, whether their members are working or not.

It is also questionable whether all of the tax refunds can properly be called “tax cuts.” The credit is refundable and, therefore, is going to many who earn so little that they pay no federal income taxes in the first place. The White House calls them tax cuts, but the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office officially scores the bill’s refundable credits under “direct spending.”

Considering that our current returns are for the 2008 tax year, nothing Obama has done will affect the rules for that tax return, so NOBODY could have gotten anything from the Obama administration on this year’s return.

Yes, classic Heston and I’m saddened every time I watch it knowing that Edward G. Robinson was deaf when he played his part, but did so as a true professional and we didn’t know at the time (there was no imdb.com)

OldnyFirefighter: ‘Anyone ever heard of Soylent Green?’

Oh the memories, we’re in a similar boat here in Texas, but did you really have to bring up that movie!!!

Well, since I’m a retired Municipal Government Employee, I guess I am in the crapper as far as any $ from this Stimulus Package. Might have to get a job as a WalMart Greeter. Nah, I can’t do that, as I don’t want to work for China. Guess I will have to go back to my backup hobby & start a Business. There are always jobs for Computer Techs, as our younger generation enjoy sending unknowing victims Viruses, Malware, Trojans & other crap. Can’t do that either as I already do that for free for our older generation. Guess I might have to mooch off of my kids. Nah, can’t do that either as we are helping them make expenses.
Might have to die, since Obama wants us older people to do that anyway. Anyone ever heard of Soylent Green?

Obama would be laughable if it were not for the fact that he is causing the greatest harm that our nation has ever endured.

I am writing an article, titled, He Is Not My President, A Good Look At Romans 13. –I will email you a link to it, Bob, when it is completed.
