it's unfortunate he didn't vote for George W Bush, and if anything, Jessie Jackson Jr., being indoctrinated with the same CRAP his FATHER is FULL of, I would think he's out of the question, right? I'm also surprised Obama is against reparations - you'd think with money going around, he'd want to "spread it around" & all. I think they actually DID have some kind of though process, close to “We don’t have to spend money on black folks. They will support us no matter what”?, same with Deval Patrick

at any rate, superb piece, Robert. Bull's eye. Alfonso Rachel keeps saying the O Man's supporters have the exact mentality that the Democrats WANT them to have - the VICTIM mentality, and that's sad, because, in my mind, it's one of the few roadblocks LEFT that needs to be taken down in order for a more stable society

[...] If people thought that by electing a black president that it would bring more representation of minorities in the White House and govt., well I think they bet on the wrong man to do so. AND clearly weren’t paying attention the last eight years with all of Bush’s appointments. Just got done reading an interesting article over at Black and Right. [...]

PERFECT! Our mainland African media should get hold this piece. Their heads are burried in the sand with the hope that all the hollowness after the elation is only because it is early days. Well, the international media praised Obama's international appointments as 'action speaking louder than words' - they've conveniently missed the actions that show lack of diversity in Obama's real fabric.
