I'm also surprised Obama is against reparations - you'd think with money going around, he'd want to "spread it around" & all. I think they actually DID have some kind of though process, close to “We don’t have to spend money on black folks. They will support us no matter what”?, same with Deval Patrick at any rate, superb piece, Robert. Bull's eye.
