You Can Take The Man Out Of The Klan…

While the vast majority of Democrats, are falling over themselves trying to reserve their small place on Barack Obama’s coattails, one member of the party is distancing himself from The Messiah and he may be using The Constitution to hide behind his former KKK robe.

Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.), the longest-serving Democratic senator, is criticizing President Obama’s appointment of White House “czars” to oversee federal policy, saying these executive positions amount to a power grab by the executive branch.

While it’s rare for Byrd to criticize a president in his own party, Byrd is a stern constitutional scholar who has always stood up for the legislative branch in its role in checking the power of the White House.

Granted, he had some of these same issues with President Bush, but given his fairly recent use of the term “white niggers”, are we really to believe this is just a constitutional dispute and not something else…?

To be honest, I know nothing about Byrd. But is it at all possible that this comment shows he’s at least trying to overcome long held prejudices?

“Unfortunately,” he added, “there are people in every race who would rather attack others simply because of ill-conceived, false stereotypes based on skin color. People who do this are obstacles to positive race relations and become the stereotypes that they despise. But by working together and continually improving the understanding between the races, we can overcome these narrow-minded people and the obstacles that they represent.”

Like I said, I don’t know anything about the man, so I could be seriously off here.

and whatever color, I find NO justification for the “N” word, even if rappers or black guys that’re still on the “plantation” mindset say crap to their friends like “what’s up, my N__”

    makes me sick

I hate to be a stickler for typos here, Bob..I noticed you said “..on Barck Obama’s coattails”, leaving an extra “a” out. if anything, it gives me an idea – let’s jokingly call him “bark obama” being that he’s all bark and ABSOLUTELY NO bite

    how about that?

anyway, not surprising about Robert Byrd..once a racist prick, ALWAYS a racist prick

Sad as it seems, I agree with Grand Dragon Byrd. But his past history negates any legitimate weight to the criticism. Imagine the uproar if an ex-KKK REPUBLICAN had made the same statement.

I am sitting here agreeing with Robert Byrd.

jeebus cripes, that makes three of us, so far, in this boat.

Obama’s sans-senate-approval “Czars” are the most unapologetically, over-the-top Socialists in his “Not-Cabinet” Cabinet….

    Wow.

I am sitting here agreeing with Robert Byrd.

I fear that only the accuracy of his words is keeping my head from exploding.

Perhaps this is a case of a stopped clock being right twice a day….

Byrd is a hateful man. But he’s right, this is a power grab.
