Obama Admin Attacks A Reporter
The nerve. A reporter and traders publicly deride the president and his policies. We’ve seen that for eight years. But say anything negative about the Obama Administration and get ready for the pushback.
The White House on Friday launched a bullish retaliatory attack on cable television reporter Rick Santelli, saying his “rant” against President Obama’s housing foreclosure plan is uninformed and dangerous.
Santelli’s rant was “dangerous”?
Can anyone tell me how many times President Obama used the words “economy”, “crisis”, and “catastrophe” together over the last month?
Talk about a confidence builder.
Typical liberal response, “You don’t know what you’re talking about. Maybe Santelli does and telling the public what he knows is not with the Obama program.
In a briefing with reporters in which he ridiculed Mr. Obama’s own Transportation secretary’s idea to tax drivers’ mileage and all but said Mr. Obama’s successor in the Senate, Sen. Roland Burris, should resign, press secretary Robert Gibbs saved his harshest barbs for Mr. Santelli.
“I’m not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives, or in what house he lives,” Mr. Gibbs said, repeatedly blasting the reporter by name.
“I would encourage him to read the president’s plan and understand that it will help millions of people, many of whom he knows. I would be more than happy to have him come here and read it. I would be more than happy to buy him a cup of coffee decaf.”
Not exactly a classy response, let alone presidential.
Say what you want about President Bush, aside from the Adam Clymer slam, his administration never attacked a lone reporter who ridiculed his policies. If he did, he wouldn’t have had much time for anything else.

This is the Marxist way of things as noted in Saul Alinsky books. Identify, isolate, and destroy. Looks to me like the prez is following the plan to a tee. So far this mantra has been about change, I’m waiting to see what the hope is….this could be scary.

Yes it was to openly question the One cannot be tolerated and you will be singled out for it.

I agree that Obama is following a plan, a well-laid out and definitive plan – little by little. I believe that within one year of his inauguration America’s laws will have been changed so much for the worse that the dumb among us will cry out for and embrace the change.
These dopes don’t understand what Socialism and Communism are REALLY like.
First the redistribution of wealth (including housing), then capping salary amounts (except for those in gov’t power), then control (complete control) of all media, taking away gun rights, eroding all of our rights and freedoms one by one and MAKING SENSE while doing it. It’s all so twisted to those of us who see – because we are well-read in our history. We have relatives who’ve lived through some of these atrocities.
We either fight this now, or lay down and begin the mourning process.

Part of the problem with the lambs heading into a slaughter is our educational system is not teaching American History-Social Studies. We have 2+ generations voting that don’t have a clue what it really means to be an American. These people are being taught that government is the answer and will take care of them. As far as research and questioning our government-it’s not encouraged.
Another part of the problem is our lack in securing our borders…those that are looking for amnesty, feeding off of US while they lay in wait. Once they are citizens, just who do you think they will vote for?
Something to think about.
I’m into Homeschooling while it’s still legal for me to do so.

whom will it help?
how will it help them?
is anything ever going to be specific.

“Uninformed and dangerous”? I imagine King George III had some similar things to say in 1773. Funny how the Obamabots spout such loaded criticism without ever explicitly describing how exactly Santelli’s “rant” was either uninformed or dangerous.
“Just trust us when we say Santelli’s wrong and dangerous. We can’t really explain why, and you’ll never a get a chance to see the full plan for yourself… but just trust us.”

As if any of those asshats have read it cover to cover. The whole point of Santelli’s rant is completely lost on Gibbs, et al., (shocker), it wasn’t all about the people that are getting money for free, it was about the outrage of the rest of us who have to pay for it.
And tut, if there is any violence, you know it won’t be face-to-face. The left is too big of a collective set of pussies to do anything otherwise.
