Spooning The President

Today’s winner, The New York Times, cauterizing their official position as Obama lap dog and media buffoon. Oh, you think that was over-the-top?

If you were the most famous newspaper in the world, how would you explain this…?

The other night I dreamt of Barack Obama. He was taking a shower right when I needed to get into the bathroom to shave my legs, and then he was being yelled at by my husband, Max, for smoking in the house.

[...]

Many women — not too surprisingly — were dreaming about sex with the president.

[...]

One woman wrote that when she couldn’t get to sleep at night, she “thought about Barack and Michelle, a couple who clearly have a ‘thing’ for each other, spooning together in bed. It helped me relax.”
Judith Warner, NYT op-ed, 2/5/09

And we thought things were bad during the Clinton years.

… “spooning”…?

I didn’t know the NYT was into soft porn?

When the media stops being a government watchdog and starts being a government cheerleader, we, the public, lose. The dying ‘fourth estate’ is now busy writing their obituary. Love letters we don’t need.

  3. Doo says:

Why is the NYT going bankrupt?

  4. Darcy_Lynne says:

The posted clips were bad enough, but the entire article nauseated me. These people WORSHIP him.

  5. The Machine says:

I tried to use a copy of the NYT for a fish wrapper.

But the fish came back to life and wriggled its way free.

    Couldn’t stand the stench, apparently.

  6. Mauser says:

You don’t know what spooning is Bob? The metaphor is from how two spoons fit together. Basically it means you’re cuddled together back to front.

It’s considered “Cuddling” which women seem to be really into.

Of course, it can often lead to forking…. *grin*

    On second thought, *shudder*.

if it is possible to get a sense that people are rolling their eyes in cyberspace……….
i’ve got that feeling more than once, at B&R, and other sites, where i have made comments to the effect that the media swoon toward hussein will never go away.
    yeah,
    yeah,
    i’m getting it again……..right here.
let me go you guys one better.
imo, it’s going to get worse. get used to it cause it’s going to be around for, what did hussein say(?), 8 to 10 years, and it’s only going to get worse.
    yeah,
    i’m getting that feeling again,
    yeah.
his media polling numbers are right now at the lowest they will ever be. the unemployment rate goes to 25% and hussein’s polling numbers will only go up.
    i’m getting that feeling again.
    you just wait.

  8. Instinct says:

    Good lord that is disturbing.

No wonder they needed a bailout.

  9. The Machine says:

Um, Mauser, I don’t think that was a request for definition at all…

  10. Mauser says:

I know, I know, but I wanted to make the Forking joke. *grin*
