makes me think of an old SNL skit with Darrel Hannah as Al Gore
“The Eaaaarth….has a temperature…..”
yadda yadda yadda “(something).. in..a..lockbox”
jeeze..
if anything though, solar panels are definitely important regardless of liberal global warming crap

I guess the concept of Thermal Mass is elusive these days.
And solar panels cost too much money for the little they provide.

Solar panels are getting better.
I’m taking a Energy for Society class this semester and the professor described the concept of the CO2 problem they have as being a bucket with a couple holes, everything stays balanced in the bucket as long as the amount of water going into the bucket is the same as what’s going out. But if you were to increase the amount going in without increasing the amount going out, eventually you overflow the bucket.

Louielouie, if they did that, they could power the entire east coast.

Teach my children and grandchildren the important learning tools so they can decide later what they want to believe, with the proper background to understand. They need Math, reading, spelling, geography, and history. Leave the indoctrination to families, and stop teaching lies.

They should research the energy used and the Toxic waste that results from the production of Solar panels, and then figure out how much would be produced if you tried to replace our grid with them. Then figure out how much ground would be shaded and unable to support plant life by that much acreage of solar panels.

I have had Solar Hot Water for over 15years & have much more than I need. Hot water heaters are one of the highest energy users in most homes. As long as there is sun, my panels will produce 180 degree water even when it is Zero outside. It does use some electricity though.
A whole 13 watts to circulate Propylene Glycol through the panels & heat exchanger. I can’t understand why it is hardly used in Southern States like Florida, where most hot water is produced by electric water heaters. Solar Electric Panels have a long way to go yet to be cost effective & you also need storage batteries to store the energy produced as well as Inverters to change it to AC power.
