Think of the message this will send if some reality channel or network gives in to her opportunist, attention-seeking, money-grubbing demands.
The single mother of octuplets born in California last week is seeking $3.1 million from media interviews and commercial sponsorship to help pay the cost of raising the children.
Nadya Suleman, 33, plans a career as a television childcare expert, since it emerged last week that she already had six children before giving birth on Monday. She now has 14 below the age of eight.
Although still confined to a Los Angeles hospital bed, she intends to talk to two influential television hosts this week – media mogul Oprah Winfrey, and Diane Sawyer, who presents Good Morning America.
Remember this the next time Oprah Winfrey and Diane Sawyer shares their opinions on morality to any of us.

I first heard this applied to a woman with sextuplets…
“God woman! It’s a womb, not a Clown Car!”
Unless this woman is supporting these children on her own, she is irresponsible & needs to have her tubes tied. Why should you or I pay for her children just because she has a mental problem, which she obviously has. My wife & I have two grown Daughters, who we love unconditionally, but we have supported them not taxpayers. We felt these children we could support, so we didn’t have more than we were economically able to afford. It’s about time people used some common sense & do the right thing. Unfortunately there are women that see every child they have as $$$ from we the taxpayers. Welfare & public support programs were enacted to take care of people that were unable to work, for whatever reason & that is fine. I despise these type of people that are parasites, sucking the life out of working class people. It is unfortunate that these children have an irresponsible Mother or Parents & it these children that usually wind up in the drug business or in Gangs. They become a liability for hard working Citizens & since they have no sense of respect, become our criminals of the future.
Maybe it’s a good way of discouraging the news hogs who want to exploit her situation to gain a momentary audience (oooh! let’s look at the crazy lady!) –
Look. I don’t approve of what this woman has done. I don’t approve of in vitro, period. It’s scary business, and there’s a deadly dark side to it in the farming or destruction of the embryos, who are really little bitty human babies.
But if the news hogs and manipulators can profit from her situation – and they will by reporting on her and interviewing her – hell, make ‘em pay, and pay high.
Like anyone would take childcare advice from a woman just because she’s given birth multiple times. It almost looks like she had invitro just to gain a career, get her 15 minutes of fame and, of course, cash in.
