Obama: Prepare For War Dead
I know I’m supposed to let go of the past, but I can’t imagine the hell that would be raised if President Bush exuded this daily lowering of expectations and public declarations of pessimism.
The Obama administration warned the US public yesterday to brace itself for an increase in American casualties as it prepares to step up the fight against al-Qaida and the Taliban in Afghanistan and the border regions of Pakistan.
Against a background of widespread protests in Pakistan and Afghanistan over US operations since Obama became president, the vice-president, Joe Biden, said yesterday that US forces would be engaged in many more operations as the US takes the fight to its enemies in the region.
I wonder why President Obama won’t meet with the Taliban without preconditions? Isn’t this why the left repeatedly called President Bush a warmonger?
This must be the “change” part.

geez, think a 10% tax cut at the Pentagon might also impact the military?

I know Clinton did this and look where it got us – God help us if they cut back on military spending now -

Can we officially claim the Obama presidency to be a failure yet. I guess all that sweetness and light from Barrys campaign platform was just a load of bullshit, wasn’t it.

It occurs to me that it may take a Democrat to fight the war on terror. The left cannot be adult about it and just rally around a Republican president during wartime but will do anything for a Democrat.
I don’t think Obama will fight the war but it may take a Liberman Democrat to finish this war.

funny for a guy to “oppose this war from the start” to warn us of a sad increase in US causalities
hypocrisy anyone?

No, it sounds like he’s planning to have people killed on purpose.

Well, they warned us this would happen. What most Americans didn’t catch on to is that it’s going to be an orchestrated problem – and don’t forget they promised us we’ll be attacked again, probably in less than six months! I want to know whose side this president of ours is on, anyway. Doesn’t look as if he’s on ours.

Just as the moron-in-chief is asking for a 10% reduction in military spending.
