The ho-ing and misinformation continues.
Dear fellow MoveOn member,
I’m James. I’m a MoveOn member, dad to two teenagers, and, until recently, I had a pretty good job in construction. But the company I worked for lost a lot of projects when the economy tanked, and I got laid off, without much notice.
So I wanted to write to ask for your help. Not help for me, but for all the folks who are out of a job or otherwise struggling in this recession. Let me explain.
President Obama’s economic recovery plan just passed in the House—it’s got billions of dollars for education, mass transit, and clean energy. But what really gets me is that not a single Republican voted for it, despite all the efforts by President Obama to reach across the aisle. If the same thing happens in the Senate, it won’t pass. But millions of families like mine need it to pass—it could put me, my former coworkers, and millions of other Americans back to work—and turn this economy around.
Sorry, but when I lost my job and had to try and figure out how I’d feed my family, pay the mortgage, keep the lights on, water flowing as well as all the other “ordinary people” expenses, the LAST THING I was thinking about was “education, mass transit, and clean energy”.
Oh, and James, the Democrats’ stimulus bill has set aside a whopping 5% of all those billions for any kind of mass transit (and maybe construction), so (if you’re white) you may be shit out of luck.
But don’t forget to “chip in” and give your Kraft Macaroni and Cheese money to MoveOn.

Why doesn’t James try to use “hope” and “change” to pay his bills?
Jon
agreed. Also, notice how he didn’t say WHAT construction company it was or any other specific details..my bullshit detector just went off the scale….
Is your bullshit reading over NINETHOUSAAAAAAAND?
Dear James,
In case you haven’t read the news lately, the Democrat Party has a majority in the House and Senate. So in spite of Republican opposition, this bill can pass. The only difference is when the backlash finally comes, your party gets the blame.
Good luck and have another helping of HOPE and CHANGE to get through the week.
“But what really gets me is that not a single Republican voted for it, despite all the efforts by President Obama to reach across the aisle.”
Could those assholes be any phonier. Who really cares if you got mad James (strawman)? Were you mad because Barry made all those efforts to reach across the aisle by saying things like “I won”, and saying yeah Republicans, those are some good ideas, but we’re going to do it my way. Please.
As Cameron says, they don’t need the Republicans, if it’s so great they can send it to Barry all by themselves. What, you need Republicans to go along with it to provide you cover when it goes to hell? That’s what we thought.
When is this country going to split?
When it does split can we put “Them” in Mexifornia? Peolsi & Boxer can help them there.
This just in, the economy sagged but 3.8% in the last quarter.
The Dims would have everyone believe that 3.8% is a recession leading into a depression.
O–tay.
Could go that way as long as they contiune with the bail-outs.
