Did you see how many Republicans voted for President Obama’s stimulus package in the House yesterday?
None. Seriously, not a single one.
Yeah, and eleven Democrats voted against this miracle bill as well. I guess MoveOn.org must’ve missed that one.
Americans voted overwhelmingly for change in November. We voted for an end to the partisan bickering and political games that are destroying our politics. And President Obama bent over backwards to get House Republicans to craft a bipartisan bill, to no avail.
That’s why hundreds of thousands of liberals booed George W. Bush at Barack Obama’s inauguration. And again, sorry but a 53% popular vote victory is not “overwhelming”.
As the bill moves to the Senate, we need bipartisan support, or the stimulus won’t pass. Senate Republicans need to know they have a clear choice: support a stimulus package that will put millions of Americans back to work, or continue to play the games that got us into this mess.
In other words, do what Democrats won’t: compromise principles.
We’ve put together a powerful new ad to pressure the key senators. Can you chip in $25 to get it on the air immediately?

The only hope I have for is for the change to more people taking care of themselves.

Where were these calls for bipartisanship when Bush was “overwhelmingly” re-elected and the Republicans increased their majorities. Wasn’t it clear then that the American people had spoken?
Oh but wait, bipartisanship doesn’t mean that. It means “Republicans do what Democrats tell them to.”

i had a few extra shekels this month, and i came to b&r yesterday to click on the chip-in for the january bailout.
then i saw bob had changed the name of the next drive to this hope and change crap.
