Obama’s Apology To The Muslim World
For eight years, the liberal retort was that it was “Bush’s fault.” Barack Obama, in his Al-Arabiya interview, ramped it up.
Key parts of Obama’s interview to the Muslim world were a collective mea culpa.
“We sometimes make mistakes; we have not been perfect,” he said as one explanation as to why there is so much hate in the Muslim world for the United States. In other words, it’s America’s and, by extension, the West’s fault we’ve been under attack these past years.
He offered a similar apology when explaining his instruction to George Mitchell, the former Senator he appointed to begin seeking a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
“What I told him is start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating …” he said. “So let’s listen.”
According to those who specialize in the topic, Muslim extremists look for weakness in an enemy. So far, instead of showing strength, Barack Obama is publicly disparaging his own nation, and when was the last time a Muslim leader did that?
He need remember that in either four or eight years, there will be a new president. Obama might not want to be a victim of his own hubris. Wouldn’t want the next Commander-in-Chief to immediately suspend or reverse his policies via Executive Order and publicly apologize for the Obama Regime.
But considering the start, there may be a lot to apologize for.
