On Obama: “You feel God speaking to you”

It was always perceived as some partisan exaggeration when we said that progressives view Barack Obama as some kind of deity. Reverend Jeremiah Wright called him a “messiah” and we ran with it.

Like it wasn’t true…?

Many Obama fans feel he has already changed America, keeping with his campaign themes of change and hope.

“He has given us a reason to look at government as a way to get out of this mess. He has given us a reason to believe that government can help us,” Ann Marie Adams, a graduate student at Howard University, told CNSNews.com. “It’s not entirely tangible how he has changed America. It’s like when you go to church and you feel God speaking to you. It’s not tangible, but you just know.”

Listening to Barack Obama is like “God speaking to you”.

Now seeing how progressives are conveniently secular, this is change we can believe in.

The Huckabee line was great. The actual quite was, “I’m not a Republican because I grew up rich. I’m a Republican because I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life poor waiting for the government to rescue me.”

The speech including that line is on a Youtube video.

Mike Huckabee said something poignant at the convention:

“I’m not a republican because I’m rich. I’m a republican because I’m poor, and I’m not waiting for the government to come and
    rescue me.”

See the damned Global Warming is already starting to fry their brains.
Most of the time Government is the problem. Our representatives in Congress have to make more restrictive laws to justify the need to be in session & “earn” their wages paid for by the Citizens. Congress was never supposed to be a full time job & was only supposed to meet when important issues had to be resolved. Sometimes I think most of the laws they enact came from a bad dream they had, so they need to enact a law to stop it from happening.

“The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” — Ronald Reagan

    HOLY Crap!

i would never look to government to solve any problem of mine.
in a way i look at gov’t as the cause of some of the problems, so they can justify the existence of this social program or that social department.
and create their own little fiefdom.
of course coming from oklahoma, the only state in the union that hussein did not carry a single county, i look for a special kind of hell to be sent our way.
