A Classy CNN New Year’s Eve
Aren’t “comics” supposed to be… funny?
Comedienne Kathy Griffin may be doomed to life on CNN’s S-list after answering a heckler with a shrieking, vulgar tirade during the network’s live New Year’s Eve broadcast.
“Screw you,” she told the heckler. “Why don’t you get a job, buddy? You know what? I don’t go to your job and knock the dick out of your mouth.” The raunchy exchange, which occurred well after the ball dropped at midnight, was received with guffaws by the camera crew.
Is it me but, even after getting their way (Obama), liberals really tend to come off as very angry people?

Cool, she just closed another avenue for her moronic drivel.
I can’t stand that pig! She’s as bad a Joy Behar, but without the daily platform.

I astonished a couple of people when I confused Kathy Griffin with Kathy Lee Gifford. I remembered her (vaguely) from a series with Brooke Shields, but never thought she was particularly funny.
Then again, I think Richard Pryor was the tops.

Wow, a liberal Comedian (er. “Comedienne”) making a homophobic joke, and no gay pride picket outside CNN’s offices. What’s this world coming to?

Mauser, you’re only allowed to make homophobic comments to straight males. Just like racial slurs are fine to use on black conservatives, and “stupid bitch” is an acceptable synonym for “pro-life woman”.
Seriously, I wonder if Bob or any B&W’s readers can clear this up for me: Were slur-throwing and vulgar slams ever this acceptable even in the ’70s when comedians were pushing the FCC limits?
