Opie Compares Bush To Nixon

And how old was Ron Howard when Richard Nixon was resigned?

Silly me. Ron Howard knows what he’s talking about. He is a Hollywood director, after all.

Fox News journalist Chris Wallace on Monday evening defended President Bush against criticism by Hollywood filmmaker Ron Howard that the president has abused his office in a way similar to President Richard Nixon.

“I think to compare what Nixon did, and the abuses of power for pure political self preservation, to George W. Bush trying to protect this country — even if you disagree with rendition or waterboarding — it seems to me is both a gross misreading of history both then and now,” Mr. Wallace said.

It would be nice of some of those cowering-in-fear Hollywood conservatives would make movies that didn’t distort history.

Then again, we DO know that the Path is Los Angeles is effectively blocked.

Oh, and here’s a decent site regarding the politics of celebrities:

Ron Howard played the character “Opie” on “The Andy Griffith Show” from 1960 to 1968. Aunt Bee was another character in that show.

Crikey! Sorry for the faux pas on Arthur Fonzerreli being ‘one of them’. The name Opie in OZ refers to ‘A slow working dope’ (Opium). In other words, not that light on their feet and a bit lacking in grey matter. Foggy is also used in the same vein. Is the meaning the same for you lads?

    Aunt Bee ?

You would have an easier time making a list of conservatives and non-political celebs CV, it would be a much shorter list. Oh, and the Fonz is as big a lib as little Opie Cunningham.

Can someone post a list of Hollywood Pinkos and fellow travelers? I would definitely give boycotting them a bash. Or better still, I could go out and buy pirate copies of their movies and thus deprive them of any forthcoming royalties. I have been forced into acquiring (I didn’t put up much of a struggle I might add) pirate copies here as it is nigh on impossible to find originals.

As for Rotten Ronnie Howard’s criticism of The President … that is surely inexcusable. Fonzie should have done a job on him all those years back. As well, I was a bit miffed when Matt Damon ran off at the mouth against John McCain. I really have enjoyed his movies – up until now. If George Bush the younger, ever releases a book on his time in The White House, the presses will be burning and more than a few prepubescent Liberals will have their ears pinned back.

Once again I call for a boycott of hollywood’s leftist actors and directors. Stop watching and paying them.
