CNN-ism Of The Day

Another post-election, lower-expectation attempt.

He’s already destined to be a historic president – the first African-American. But will Obama be a great one? Even a good one?

The Americans who are comparing him to those remarkable predecessors are putting a lot of faith in a man they barely know.
CNN Commentary, 11/28/08

A man the American people “barely know”….

Well, whose damn fault is that, CNN?

    Could the MSM worm be starting to turn? The real test, however, is yet to come: When will Leno or Letterman tell the first “sorta” negative O Joke?

    @shadow two:

    I give em 3 weeks before they crack their first “sorta negative” Obama joke

    On CNN : Can someone guide me on this matter? For many years, I would diligently watch CNN and more than likely, took everything in as being gospel. This of course, was before I took an interest in American politics, and in particular John McCain’s run of this year. After a while, I began to notice that nearly 100% of CNN content was diametrically opposed to my limited knowledge and thoughts on who would be the best 44th president of the United States. At times, whilst viewing the more than frequent election coverage panel discussions, I would become quite angry which would usually result in me switching channels. I found no respite in the BBC as I now think they are Pommie clones of the dregs at CNN. I once used to watch most of Larry King’s program, but came to the conclusion that he was just one of the buffoons that frequent the halls of Time Warner. To me, he appears to be mentally challenged and physically shrinking. Maybe one day, those braces will overcome all physical resistance and the entire Larry King will disappear up his own arsehole (OZ/Brit spelling). If I am on the wrong tram, can some kind person please enlighten me ?

    Mac,
    You don’t need any help…you’re heading in the right direction all on your own. CNN has a bunch of Clinton retreads and leftist on staff, but what would you expect from a Ted Turner product. I can’t say much about BBC, although I’ve heard it’s a little left of our completely left media (excluding talk radio).

    CNN screwed the pooch with their “tingling leg” for Obama, now they want to appear as if they actually have a journalistic mission by bringing up his paper-thin resume. Screw them. I don’t think there’s any way they could regain any credibility.

    All of the MSM were Obamamania struck. Even Fox, which us usually not quite as biased, didn’t report things they knew about, but failed to even mention. Fox seemed to realize they were grandstanding & started reporting things a lot quicker than the rest. The others are getting closer to National Enquirer in their reporting quality & will pay for their bias in the long run. I canceled my subscription to Time Magazine for the same reason & told them why.

    I don’t ever want to hear Obama refer to himself again as an AFRICAN-American President.

    He is the American President, not a half American and half African President. I don’t care how much campaign money he got from Africa. We come first.

    Unless, of course, he doesn’t ever get that birth certificate thing cleared up. I guess he could be African-American after all.

    CNN didn’t have my respect to begin with…once Glenn left, I had no reason to turn them on…now I’m my own news source.
