Indian Navy Sinks Pirate Mothership
The Indian navy shipmates must have had a blast, finally being allowed to sink an enemy.
An Indian navy warship has sunk a Somali pirate “mother ship” in the Gulf of Aden, the world’s most treacherous waterway, after the renegades threatened to attack the frigate.
The clash happened as pirates claimed to begin negotiations over a ransom for the Saudi super-tanker that was seized nearby on Saturday with two Britons aboard. The Sirius Star, which is carrying at least $100 million worth of oil, is the biggest ship ever to be hijacked.
Hopefully the first of many.

Only a boat load of moslem pirates would threaten to attack a real warship. Oops, sorry. I forgot we’re not supposed to notice the religion of these pirates. But still, way to go India.

From the Halls of Montezuma to the SHORES OF TRIPOLI. Once upon a time, the US had a Navy that would fight. Now, I hear the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Admiral Mullen, discussing how the process works of negotiating with the pirates to pay ransom after a ship is seized. He said nothing about fighting back against their piracy, just how the negotiations work after a ship is seized. This country is lost!

Perhaps we need another Stephen Decatur

I don’t know why the Obama-supporting media is making such a big deal about these pirates.
After all, they’re just “redistributing” the wealth…you know, spreading it around….

When I first read this story, my first thought was “COOL!” But then I thought about it. The MSM covered the story of the Indian Navy taking out some bad guys, but they never covered any acts of heroism or interesting military maneuvers conducted by our own military. I guess that would interfere with their narrative that our boys are a bunch of hapless sitting ducks in wars they don’t agree with. Other country’s militaries can be cool, but not ours.

Adm Mullen was busy recording a podcast on how to listen to his podcasts.
In all reality they’re worried about the legal ramifications… you know about all those pesky laws in international waters.
