I proudly defy this paradigm. I think Byron Dorgan, Earl Pomeroy and Kent Conrad, of North Dakota, are awful and should be voted out. Or rocketed into the sun, whichever comes sooner.

Americans who know nothing about their own political system should be insulted and ashamed that a non-national…nay, someone who has no desire to move to the US, would know more about its political system than the general population.

Immigrants (at least those genuinely interested in coming here) will know alot about the country because of the exams they must pass, and it is understandable…to a degree, that they should know more details about the USA than an average citizen.

But not knowing the basics of your own government is purely stupid. You cannot operate a machine properly without knowing how it works, and the same applies to politics.

I am toying with the idea of ridding the world of “unlimited democracies”, as is it clear that the vast majority do not have the prerequisite knowledge of politics to make an informed vote…

But now i’d be a dictator… Still.. Ultimate Responsability for Ultimate Value…

Problem is, for laws to be approved by the Executive…the Legislative Branch much submit them…

If nothing changes in the Legislative Branch, obviously it will not affect much changes in the Executive one…

Especially since the Executive gets to appoint the Judicial Branch, who then apply those laws…

Then again this is all redundant and everyone here knows this…

What’s funny is we had a democrat Congress with flat-lined approval ratings, but the AMerican public went out and said give us even more of that. Geniuses.
