NMATV Tech Update
Many of you have been experiencing loading issues while attempting to view NMATV videos. I am well aware of this.
It turns out that in the site’s short existence, NMATV videos are getting so many views, our server is being pushed to its limit… which is a GOOD THING! So, we are investigating even newer cutting-edge technology to both handle the growing traffic and deliver a smoother product.
Once the Obama administration (coupled with a Democrat congress and senate) begins their radio and Internet politically-correct purge of all things conservative (“hate”), NMATV will be one of the few places where opposing points of view will be presented unfiltered, so getting this done right, and soon, is our imperative.
Thanks again,
Bob

Frankly, I thought they had already started.

(Putting this in the right place now)
It’s great that the site is popular. But I still wouldn’t mind seeing a couple of changes to the player. Like a better indication of loading progress, and better caching/buffering performance. I also think the logo should be a part of each video, rather than a separate item loaded first, because as a separate item, it’s much easier for someone stealing your video to leave the source off.
(That would also help people with slower connections, who tend to hit pause first to let videos load completely. Only to come back and find that they’ve waited for a 4 second logo).

Another small suggestion: The buttons need to be identified. when one hovers the mouse above them, a textbox should appears (javascript-like) indicating what the button does.
Also, I’ve noticed any video that’s embedded in another page cannot be full-screened. Which means every NMATV video posted on this blog requires me to go to the video site and load it there so i can full-screen it.
Minor bugs, but annoying…
Still, when I saw those problems the first time (the loading issues) I had guessed it was because of heavy use. Gratz on your rapidly growing video site!
