If Joe the Plumber were Jawad the Suspected Terrorist, civil liberties activists would stampede the halls of Congress on his behalf. Liberal columnists would hyperventilate over the outrageous invasions of his privacy by Ohio state and local employees. The ACLU would demand the Big Brother snoopers’ heads. And Democrat leaders would convene immediate hearings and parade him around the Beltway as the new poster boy/victim of unlawful domestic spying. - Michelle Malkin

concerning that Québec comedy duo, they've been doing this to prominent media-hated people.

Here they played pranks on most of our political figures, whatever their party affiliation.

But in the US, they've done it to Bush a couple years back. In the Clinton years those guys were kids.

To my knowledge though, it's the first time they actually make a move on a candidate. they usually went after people after they got elected (claiming to be a foreign national, such as they did this time claiming Sarkozy was calling), congratulating them for the win and making stupid claims all the while.

It's entertaining. I've heard their skit when they called former Liberal PM Paul Martin and former Liberal PM Jean Chrétien (who is basically our Gerald Ford with his misquotes and funny statements, such as when he met the Pope and said he was so awed when he knelt down and kissed his "bague". Chrétien did not know the word "ring" and used the french word. The pronounciation is exactly like "Bag". I think you can see how funny that is, and its one among hundreds during the 30+ years he spend in politics.

I wouldn't worry too much about the "Justiciers Masqués".
