The targeting of the clueless youth continues.

The Democrat’s ads are aimed at gamers who like sports, including NASCAR, NBA, NHL and skateboarding. That suggests that EA Sports’ motto, “It’s in the game,” now applies to presidential politics as well.

EA spokeswoman Holly Rockwood would not say how much the ads cost, but she said they are running on the Xbox Live versions of the game until November 3. They began earlier this month.

The timing of the Obama ads within the video game varies from state to state. Players in smaller states may see the Obama ads for the whole month, while users in bigger states may see them for a shorter period.

“It reaches an audience that is typically hard to reach – young males, roughly 18 to 34,” said Rockwood. “That’s very appealing to our advertisers.”

His family is “off limits” but our kids are fair game. That’s how it works….

Advertisments are a way of paying for things without paying for them, XBox Live cost money every month (I don’t know how much as I have a PS3 which is free to play online) and microsoft is advertising in it, bad move considering Obama will screw microsoft (and many other fortune 500 companies) out of millions if he gets elected

Just wait until the ads are like in the movie Idiocracy. 65″ screen, but only about 30″ viewable programming. All the rest is banner ads.

I’d vote for Bowser before I’d vote for Obama.

The Dims have always been great at preaching to their own choir.

Perhaps they like the echo chamber?

  5. Mauser says:

Personally, I’m just opposed to it because I’m sick of Advertising infiltrating every aspect of our lives.

There is a fourth Ortzinator. The youth vote never turns out. And these game ads could backfire on them. People play games as an escape. Who the hell wants to see political ads in them?

  7. ortzinator says:

First of all, only 1/3 of gamers are under 18. Second, Obama already has this demographic pretty much in the bag so there’s not exactly anything to worry about. Third, this is actually a pretty good idea. McCain should get in on this.
