My oldest Grandson is an engineering student & thinks Obama is the next best thing to Whipped Cream. I asked him where he was going to get a job after Obama taxes Businesses & Manufacturing so there can be an equalization of wealth & they leave the Country to survive. His answer was - uh, uh? Kinda like Obama's.

If they were being taught to think it would be impressive. Of course, thinking is not the actual desired outcome though saying it is usually is.

If it makes you feel any better, my sister runs a department at a private liberal arts college, has two masters degrees and is working on a PH.D now. She's worked a bit with Newt Gingrich and worked at the GAO in Washington for healthcare issues and auditing the DoD a few years ago toward the beginning of the war. Her husband works as the head defensive coordinator for the same college's football team. Both are staunchly conservative and pretty vocal about it. From my understanding they've been able to get people (including students) to actually think about things and what would be better for the country.

I think that's a key issue. Many younger people are just told what to believe, including that Republicans are evil. If you leave political parties out of the conversation and just talk about what's going on, and what would be the best course of action for everybody, and get them to think critically on the issues instead of just shoving ideas down their throats, it's interesting on what side they usually end up.
