Obama’s Foreign Funny Money
Is there any part of this campaign not shrouded in mystery?
More than half of the whopping $426.9 million Barack Obama has raised has come from small donors whose names the Obama campaign won’t disclose.
And questions have arisen about millions more in foreign donations the Obama campaign has received that apparently have not been vetted as legitimate.
Obama easily could outpace McCain by $50 million to $100 million or more in new donations before Election Day, thanks to a legion of small contributors whose names and addresses have been kept secret.
It’s unfortunate that while we have ACORN, the mainstream media, and rabid push-backers to deal with, Barack Obama has monies coming in from people whose names must be so controversial that his campaign is keeping them close to the vest.

Where and to whom can one complain ? Thought donors names were
public.

Hey Nerdly, I went to the FEC website and looked up Obama contrib-
utors,went to names starting with “U”. The name Uehara forms have contributors donating $.cents ? Me think a bookkeeping adjust,
smells . Plus this M. Uehara lists a address which looks Canadian.
FEC site realy slow.

Some other blogs are already working this and FEC complaints have been filed.
The Obama campaign is the first where ’small’ under 200 dollar total donations have played such a large part.
Frankly I believe a change is in order since all reporting is done by computer now and not manual submissions and they do already have those records in their donations data base for the campaign that they should be required.
Now even a 10 buck drop at a campaign stop should have to have a donor card and be reported.
There are so many holes in the FEC system I could write books on it as to issues that need to be addressed since it is basically an honor system in many respects.
I also believe reporting periods should be shortened from monthly to weekly.
