If Democrats are as smart as they brag, why didn’t they see this coming and why are they so outraged now?
A Democratic precinct committeeman from Lauderhill plans to ask the county party tonight to support dumping House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer.
John Labriola’s complaint: despite the promises that got them elected, they’ve done nothing to end the war in Iraq, and have rolled over for President Bush in other ways.
Hee hee…
“They have done the opposite of what they campaigned on,” he said.
The Pelosi-Reid-Hoyer offenses:
- Failing to end the war, and appropriating ever-increasing amounts of taxpayer-money for it.
- Refusing to even consider the option of impeaching President Bush.
- Going along with the Bush administration on warrantless wiretapping.
Seriously, I can’t believe they were that naive. Then again…
And what became of their vote?
At the end of the party meeting Tuesday night, Labriola presented his motion, which prompted objections from several party members. About two-thirds of the 250 to 300 people at the meeting had already left or moved to the refreshment table.
Those who remained overwhelmingly rejected the proposal on a voice vote. It was tough to tell if more than a couple of people voted in favor.
I wonder how many of those suckers are voting for Obama since he’s pledging “hope” and “change”?
It’s like Donner Pass. For survival they are eating their own.
For people who play the word game really well at misleading people they can’t seem to convince there own party. If it isn’t work on your own people how do you expect it to work on the American people?
