Vladimir Putin was talking tough a few short weeks ago while Barack Obama was leading in the polls. Russia invaded Georgia and told the world to back off and shut up. But now that John McCain and Sara Palin have been leading for almost a week now in the polls, Putin is singing a new tune.
“Today there are no ideological contradictions. There is no basis for a Cold War,” Putin told a group of reporters at a three-hour lunch briefing at his retreat in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
“There is no basis for mutual animosity … Russia has no imperialist ambitions,” he said.
Notice how things normally calm down when adults enter the room.

I was just watching something earlier about how they would be willing to go to war against us too.
A mixed message?
A “mixed message” that Hitler uttered many times in the leadup to the big one, Bob.
Putin said that there is no basis for a COLD war.
What’s happenin’ in Venezuela right now ain’t cold…
So, I’m reading Putin wrong?
I just think that he’s got a plan that’s already in motion, Bob.
I doubt Russia would ever contemplate was with us. There’s no way they could win. It’s already been shown how well Soviet/Russian tactics and equipment work against the US. It’s been shown in both wars with Saddam.
Russia is not contemplating war with the US.
But Russia is not only contemplating war with other countries, Putin has already commenced.
He’s banking on the US people demanding isolation and no war.
Just like Hitler once did as countries fell to him one by one.
