Obama Slowly Coming Around On Iraq… Slowly

During the first installment of his interview with Bill O’Reilly , Barack Obama said the unimaginable… sort of.

I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated. I’ve already said it’s succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.

But since he’s started to publicly admit that, there’s always some equivalent of the word “but” coming…

However, he added, the country has not had enough “political reconciliation” and Iraqis still have not taken responsibility for their country.

Okay. For those of you who support Barack Obama, can you ask him if he reads a newspaper or watches a news program? The “Iraqis still have not taken responsibility for their country”?

It would appear there’s more progress in Iraq than getting Barack Obama to admit he was wrong about our ability to win a war he voted to oppose.

What’s all this talk about? Wasn’t “Mission Accomplished” declared five long years ago?

  2. Doo says:

Can this guy just ever say “I was wrong?”

  3. The Machine says:

Nobody anticipated the surge working except for the political and military leaders who advocated the surge in the first place.

Because nobody in their right mind goes into a campaign thinking about losing it.

Nobody anticipated? But I thought the MESSiah knew all? How can he be the one if he is not omniscient? I bet the Fox nazis edited his comments to make it only look like the perfect being was admitting he was wrong.

It was great watching Bill O take Barry O to task.

    “nobody anticipated”
