The fall from grace is a long, lonely plummet into the abyss.
Note: I just made that up. Sounds kinda’ deep, don’t it?
Failed presidential candidate John Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, have canceled their scheduled Tuesday, Sept. 23 appearance at the Salem State College Series, a long running speaking program.
The news comes in the wake of revelations that Edwards cheated on his wife with a campaign aide, even as Elizabeth is suffering with incurable cancer.
Salem State spokeswoman Karen Cady said that Edwards’ agent gave no reason for the cancellation. “They both canceled. We had contracted for both and they both declined to appear.”
Wanna take a stab at what that “reason” could be?
I think it safe to say we’ll not see John Edwards in public for quite awhile. There is an upside to this story.
He is too.
But don’t discount the rebound for the evil, look what Kerry has managed to pull. Or Kennedy. Or any of ‘em, the list is long.
I know one “upside”, I won’t be throwing up as often. This guy is not only someone with weaknesses like most of us, he is a total low life.
