* She was elected Alaska's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.

Obama has next to none as well if I recall correctly.

    * Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.

And this is necessarily a problem? This doesn't change my opinion on her.

    * She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000.

I voted for Buchanan in 2000 myself.

    * Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.

Usually you just have to suggest it be discussed for this accusation to come out.

    * She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.

And what if she's right? Even if she ends up being wrong its not like one should get worked up over an opinion that is as much of a nonstarter like this one.

    * She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.

Imagine that, someone who works for the people actually caring for people over animals. Will wonders never cease. Also looks like she's a bit more knowledgeable than some of the MoveOn crowd when it comes to renewables, Idaho Power told me that the solar panels had only really gotten 3% better at most when I last talked to them (admittedly a little over a year ago).

    * How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.

And so?

Ah the joys of misinformation:

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.

So Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice religious conservative. She's a global warming denier who shares John McCain's commitment to Big Oil. And she's dramatically inexperienced.

I'm sold! Although her resume far outshines Obama's.
