Madam Veep?

Kay Bailey Hutchison?

Dick Morris, the former Clinton aide, wrote: “She’s been around for decades and is not going to start making mistakes now. Her nomination would be a signal to American women that McCain takes their aspirations seriously, even if Obama does not.”

The prospect of a woman has some senior Democrats very jittery, as the Clinton psychodrama plays out its latest chapter in Denver while polls show Mr Obama slipping behind.

A senior strategist, who has run two presidential campaigns, told me: “If McCain picks a woman, this thing is done.”

If Texas Senator Hutchison winds up being the pick, that’ll really piss off the Hillary supporters… and not at McCain.

McCain would really have to make a bad pick to lose this election. Hell, all he has to do is sit back and let the MESSiah do himself in.

I like that pick, or Palin from Alaska. I would really hate to see four Senators on the ticket. They don’t seem to fare so well as POTUS.
