Eating Healthy Will Kill You
I hope you food nazis freak the hell out.
Rice bran – a so-called “superfood” – might contain dangerous amounts of a natural poison.
A new study suggests that rice bran, the shavings left over after brown rice is polished to produce white rice grains, contains “inappropriate” levels of arsenic. Andrew Meharg at the University of Aberdeen, UK, and colleagues found that the levels of arsenic in rice bran products available on the internet and used in food-aid programmes funded by the US government would be illegal in China – the only country in the world to have standards for how much arsenic is permissible in food.
After all the years of pushing your trans fat bans and apple fries on us, you may be gagging on your own spit after finding out your healthy food is slowly KILLING YOU.
You eat your rice bran and keep your damn hands off my Popeye’s.

See, this is why I’m against trying to mandate biofuels.
Just image all the dead cars littering the highway.

Remember MBTE gasoline? We were told by the enviros that is was the end all be all, until it started poisoning the ground water and was banned.
I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few years we find out second-hand ethanol fumes cause cancer, like we’re finding out that wind turbines cause bats’ lungs to explode.

what is marvelous here is that tidbit of info comes from the same country that continually had food and product defects these past couple years…
ah, the sweet smell of irony…
but really…why is China the ONLY country to measure arsenic in food…??

No, it’s the only country to have an allowable level.
