While Obama’s netroots vilify anyone who questions Barack Obama’s patriotism, it would appear if Hillary Clinton’s top guy got his way, he would’ve beaten us to the punch long ago.
Among the most striking findings are memos and emails from senior strategist Mark Penn suggesting that the Clinton campaign suggest that Obama is something “other” than American.
Hmmm. I wonder what Mark Penn knows that we don’t… yet?
“All of these articles about his boyhood in Indonesia and his life in Hawaii are geared towards showing his background is diverse, multicultural and putting that in a new light,” Penn writes. “Save it for 2050. It also exposes a very strong weakness for him – his roots to basic American values and culture are at best limited. I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and values…
Can you imagine the ire from the left if one of us wrote that? And Penn didn’t stop there.
To Hillary he suggested,
“Every speech should contain the line you were born in the middle of America to the middle class in the middle of the last century. And talk about the basic bargain as about the deeply American values you grew up with, learned as a child and that drive you today. Values of fairness, compassion, responsibility, giving back.
“Let’s explicitly own ‘American’ in our programs, the speeches, and the values. He doesn’t… Lets use our logo to make some flags we can give out. Let’s add flag symbols to the backgrounds.”
So it would appear that exposing Barack Obama’s questionable allegience to the United States was not a concern of right wing fanatics, but as a top Clinton strategist also saw it as a legitmate topic, couple that with Obama’s America-bash in Berlin, these concerns may also be waiting in the wings for the messiah before and after Denver.

Popcorn! I knew I was missing something.
Doo… I gotta restock my popcorn. I ate most of it over the past few days watching the Dems wring their hands over the John Edwards tryst. LOL
It’s not over yet! I have my popcorn at the ready.
And what did it get him?
Remember, second place is the first loser.
