Edwards Story Cover-Up Stink

While many of us are keeping you up-to-date, as best we can, on the Mr. Family Man, John Edwards-affair-baby story that the media won’t touch, some within their ranks are becoming increasingly annoyed that news is being ignored for obvious partisan reasons.

The other day I wrote the following about the mainstream media’s failure to pick up on the John Edwards story:

“It’s not merely the stench of liberal bias that bothers me but the unfortunate reality that we in the MSM are giving up a good story to the internet. And if we in the major media continue to cede such stories to the internet, we won’t be major much longer.”

As we are talking about liberals who have the usual inflated sense of worth, the economics of the business is irrelevant (until it impacts their jobs) and “making a difference” will continue to be the mission by any means necessary.

There are rules of economics that ignore ideology.

Later that day the owners of the Star-Ledger announced that it may soon be up for sale thanks to the general collapse of the newspaper industry.

If John Edwards were a Republican, the big three network anchors would’ve had “breaking news” Chyrons interrupting their Obama coverage. This would easily dwarf the Larry Craig footsie weirdness.

Here we have a former-senator-that-would-be-president who criticized and organized boycott against media outlet, accusing them of bias. We have a former-senator-that-would-be-president that attempted to use his cancer-stricken wife to show his devotion. We also have a former-senator-that-would-be-president who is being covered for by a liberal media that wants to avoid a Democrat scandal stain mere weeks before congressional primary elections.

And the print media wonders why they’re in slow death mode….
