Nah, This Ain’t No Race Card

It’s the race bill.

Me, me, me, me, me…

It was only a matter of time that Republicans were accused of attacking the first black party presidential nominee. It’s the card they play best.

Can you say floundering? I knew you could!

  2. Brandon Says:

“When we are in such dire straights, economically…” I’m going to raise every tax I can think of!

  3. Blaine Says:

I think we can all agree no Republican would everplay the race card.”

  4. admin Says:

    I won’t.

  5. Blaine Says:

    Never, ever?

  6. The Machine Says:

    Hey Blaine–

Show me the Republican who has played the race card ON HIMSELF!

  7. Doo Says:

    Hey Blaine-

The first video had NOTHING to do with race, just character and bad policy.
The second video was about policy. Not attacking the candidate’s race.

The naked white telling Harold to call her was proof of that.

The second video was about policy. Not attacking the candidate’s race.

You start out in 1954 by saying, “Nigger, nigger, nigger.” By 1968 you can’t say “nigger”—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states’ rights and all that stuff. You’re getting so abstract now [that] you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites.

    — Lee Atwater, lead campaign adviser for Reagan and Bush I., RNC Chairman.

Same shit he always says. Nothing.

  10. swampy Says:

What did he say. I listen to this guy and tell my self I’m really going to pay attention. Ten minutes later I can’t tell you what he said because he said nothing of substance. Nothing memorable. Smoke and mirrors. “Change”? To what? By what method? In what amount of time?

As far as the race issue… As long as BHO and his campaign keep reminding us that he is the “first black man this or that”, is that NOT about race? And more and more, I’m beginning to think that maybe it’s not about BHO as much as it is getting a [b]black[b] man elected PSO. It could be ANY black man.

    OK.

Because the actress is white and Ford is black, the ad has been labeled racist.

Got to the third sentence, strawman argument.

All that Ford has to do is admit he made a mistake in going to the party.

You call this convincing? What mistake? Going to a party? He was single and heterosexual wasn’t he? Was he going on the public’s dime? Breaking any laws? No, no, and no. So what is this mistake?

Tell me, what was the purpose of having the naked model in the ad at all if the point was to inform the public of his actions? It’s more than naive to suggest the point of the ad was the issues at hand if they had to illustrate their point with naked white women.

At 49 secs. he says the 8-10 years thing again. Someone has to tell him he is running for president, not prime minister.
