Hmmm. What To Do With That Stimulus Check

Here’s a suggestion…

You’re getting $600 – what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn’t pay down every bill every month. The short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings.

That should resonate with the American people.

Actually our stimulus check went toward a down payment on an RV. So no we are not all doing a crappy as they let on. Yes I know some peoples went to bills but I think all went toward something to help their family or improve the quality of life. I think maybe 1% of the population went to frivalous crap like earrings. What an arrogant piece of work she is!

I’m thinkin’ $600…for “a” pair of earrings…something tells me she’s not shopping at WallyWorld.

Part of mine went to Bob to support this site (See the subtle, tasteful, block in upper corner of the page re “Support B&R”).
And, no, I’m not a shill for Bob, never met the man (but sure would like to) and this plug is of my own volition. As a Conservative, I pay for what I get and don’t expect something for nothing :-) .

I was able to eat with my $300 and still put away most of my paycheck towards paying off my bills. Thankfully I have help from my family, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to get a check like this every month even if it was going to benefit me more than not.

Okay, I don’t normally give her a hard time but on the $600 earring example, I will. Hopefully nobody ever does that. But, her other point is well taken. American’s will spend the money on goods and services and bills and maybe save a tiny bit. A report I heard earlier today said that in June, Walmart was the benefactor of the stimulus checks! Walmart’s low-priced goods were all that people could afford. Nordstrom’s is quite angry I hear!

tv2112: You must have received the Bush tax cut, most of which went to the wealthiest of Americans. An RV in these days of gas prices?!! You must be loaded!
