McDonald's fries have sucked ever since they switched to veggie oil but I can well imagine that they suck even worse under the trans-fat ban. My Momma died after eating 2 eggs, bacon, and grits every single day of her adult life, plus all the fried chicken, cracklin cornbread (sp?), grease filled gravy, biscuits, Pork BBQ (is there any other kind?) and collards swimming in fatback that she could eat. The Doc told her she had to stop this. He was right. She died at 83 and of breast cancer and was driving a 35 ft motorhome all over the USA by herself (well, there was the Doberman). My neighbor here in NC has the same diet. He's 91, still drives, and has a much better memory than me. Tsk, Tsk, Bob.
