While a student in the late 1970s, Barack Obama carved his name in the pavement outside the cafeteria of Punahou School, Honolulu.
A representative of the school said she believes “King” was written by another student.
(Note the similarities of the “N” and “M”….)

Words mean things.
On one hand, they can be meaningless. Their use can be a coincidence. They can be taken out of context. They can be unintentional. Or they can be an example of how someone thinks.

This may be coincidence, but it may also be an indication of what Barack Obama thinks [...]

One would think the New York Times was given a public lesson in journalism after their John McCain fiasco. Your story should back up your lead. But I guess the arrogant at The Times blew off class….
