What we are seeing is a diminishment of one of the planks underlying the Republic. The four planks which are necessary (and sufficient conditions for the continuation of the Republic are
1. The primacy of the family as the most efficient, effective and least cost level of governance -- only the family can istitute a moral code and control individual members.
2. Literacy with a comon language and numeracy as the essential condition for a civil society.
3. The availability for all of interclass mobility based on individual effort supported by the family.
4. The availability of geographic mobility as the modus operandi for the individual. Move people to where work is instead of publicly supporting them in place.

Illegal aliens, most not intending to reside permanently and add to the comon weal, do not practice the second, and take away from those legally here some of the path from the bottom of the ladder upwards. That creates the beginnings of a permanent underclass and a welfare state in which literacy is not prized as an economic or a social good and from which people crowd together and with government support overwhelm the private job market in a single area.

This is the beginnings of a statist society, a country which can not compete in the 21st century world economy -- a death spiral for the Republic.

Actually Ron Paul has quite a lot to say about this issue. This is from his website:

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/border-security-and-immigration-reform/

“I don’t think the problem of illegal immigration will ever be solved until we have a healthy, thriving economy.”

The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan:

Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.

No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.

No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.

Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

I think his focus has been on the even larger issue of preserving our nation since there are plenty of politicians these days ready to sell us out. Most of our national debt as I understand is owned by the Chinese, there is talk of the Trans Atlantic, a North American Union, RealID, LOST. At this rate, illegals may not remain illegals by the virtue of no national boundaries.

Ron Paul is in my humble opinion the last best hope for preserving our glorious United States of America. Everyone else seems to have ties to foreign interests.

Best to you!

If the Illegals are pushing their way into the Black community, would a vote for Obama be wise? He has openly admitted he would grant amnesty to the illegals who are very openly declaring a form of social war on Blacks. Would Obama really be what the Blacks need at this point? Is it really worth it to the Blacks to have a Black president at the cost social displacement? This is a big issue that the Blacks really need to think about.
