Iraqis ARE Pulling Their Weight
For some reason, our hallowed mainstream media consistently omits the good news.
It would seem, for those paying attention, that some Iraqis are tired of being kidnapped, tortured, car bombed, and beheaded. They’ve apparently chosen sides. Someone need tell Speaker Pelosi to revise the party talking points.
“We have many arrows in our quiver, and we are sharpening them.”
Too bad she’d never use that kind of rhetoric towards enemies not Republican. But someone IS stepping up to the plate….
Iraq militias ‘turning against al-Qaeda’

June 30, 2007SUNNI militias that once fought US troops are now seeking to join them, frustrated by al-Qaeda’s influence in parts of Baghdad, a US commander said.
Maj Gen Joseph Fil, commander of US forces in Baghdad, said working with the militias compensates for insufficient Iraqi police presence in some neighborhoods.
“Some of them who have previously been fighting us have come to us as we’ve spoken with them and they want to fight with us,” Maj Gen Fil said.
“They are tired of al-Qaeda and the influence of al-Qaeda in their tribes and in their neighborhoods and they want them cleaned out and they want to form an alliance in order to rid themselves of this blight.”
We’re all tired. Hopefully these militias will take matters into their own hands and help our boys and girls clean house once and for all.
Then again, if the mainstream media doesn’t report it, it never happened. Right, Nancy?
