Using Dr. King… Again
Utilizing what may be construed as a black accent, Hillary Clinton addressed a crowd at the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem on Martin Luther King’s birthday.
Taking a time out from the real reason they were there, Clinton said that the Bush Administration “will go down in history as one of the worst” and added that the House of Representatives is run like a “plantation.”
“When you look at the way the House of Representatives has been run, it has been run like a plantation, and you know what I’m talking about. It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard.”
Seeing how she was able to continue her little speech, I’m not sure what she’s talking about.
She then gave her next comments to Hurricane Katrina evacuees in the audience: “On behalf of a government that left you behind, that turned its back on you. We have a culture of corruption, we have cronyism, we have incompetence. I predict to you that this administration will go down in history as one of the worst that has ever governed our country.”
Few of us are surprised by Clinton’s remarks. Liberals act as though they own all that is Martin Luther King, Jr. I guess old habits die hard.
If he were alive, I wonder what Dr. King’s reaction to Mrs. Clinton’s dream would be…?
