On Judge Roberts: Now It’s "To The Children"

When you’ve done everything possible to remove standards, it’s created this “anything goes” world. But with these new changes brings new ramifications. These ramifications will be harsh, and liberals have brought it upon themselves.

From this day forward I will launch the equivalent of verbal hand grenades at any Democrat, any liberal politician, activist, or “impartial” journalist who from this day forward uses the phrase “for the children.”

Liberals have used this phrase to make soccer moms melt whenever they want to get their way. They use children.

So when Matt Drudge broke the story that New York Times investigative reporter Glen Justice was going to dig into the adoption records of Supreme Court nominee John Roberts’ kids, well… just when you think liberals have found a new low, they always seem to top themselves.

Especially when the kids involved are only four and five years old.

Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants. Both children were adopted from Latin America. A Times insider claims the look into the adoption papers are part of the paper’s “standard background check.”

  • Drudge Report, August 4, 2005

It’s amazing how far the left will go to protect a woman’s right to abort a fetus, because that’s what the attacks on Roberts is really all about. Kill the kid in the womb. Kill it even when all but its head has been delivered, and now, go after a four-year-old to destroy the reputation of his father.

L.A. Times liberals nit-picked as they criticized the attire of Mrs. Roberts, Josie age five and Jack age four. They nagged when a restless Jack danced around during the nationally televised Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony with the President. But despite all the early salvos thrown at Roberts, he still comes off as a nice guy. So now it’s time to screw with his kids.

I joked a few years ago about boycotting France, but I left that kind of activism to O’Reilly. But as of August 4, 2005, we live in a different world. Until Democrats get their way, it’s a 24-hour media world with the real checks and balances coming from independent bloggers. If the mainstream media wants to mess with kids, so be it.

In our world, things get leaked to us all the time and because of standards (or lack thereof), there are some things we go with and some we pass on. As evidenced by the thin skin of Helen Thomas, the MSM doesn’t like it when people mess with them.

It should be common sense that if a person enters the world of politics, they are fair game. Unless family members deliberately interject themselves into the campaign (i.e. Hillary, Theresa), it was understood they were off limits. But as I said, we are now in a New World.

When the New York Times decided it was okay to mess with our families, it’s only fair we can mess with yours. Everyone has skeletons in their closets, but they usually aren’t in their kids’ room. The Times has shown us that some could be and it’s okay to dig in the closet of a four and five year old….

Judge Roberts will carry himself like the dignified man he is. Liberal press reporters will cry like Helen Thomas pussies when we start publishing tidbits offered us from “sources” and there are alot of people just dying to rat you high and mighty liberals out. When we start printing stuff about your homely kids, remember that’s now considered all the news that’s fit to print.

You report… now we’ll decide.

[...] Again, I look at the column that started it all, and fail to see where I used LT as the centerpiece to use that adjective towards him?  Read it again and tell me?  I did say he whines about a celebration he claims was disrespectful, blamed that disrespect on the opposition’s head coach with whom he got along with just fine at the Pro Bowl in Honolulu. “He was joking around, having a good time with all the guys,” Tomlinson said.
