Helen Thomas in "Promises, Promises…"
Here’s a good one….
“Veteran wire reporter Helen Thomas is vowing to ‘kill herself’ if Dick Cheney announces he is running for president. The newspaper HILL first reported the startling claim on Thursday. “The day Dick Cheney is going to run for president, I’ll kill myself,” she told the HILL. “All we need is one more liar.” Thomas added, “I think he’d like to run, but it would be a sad day for the country if he does.”
First of all, how many liberals have we heard were going to leave the country if President Bush won, and that was only the first election? How many have backed off giving us a true glimpse of progressive honesty at work? Now Thomas is wants to off herself if Cheney runs.
First of all, Cheney isn’t going to run so her threat of martyrdom belongs in the toilet. And if honesty is such a big thing to Helen Thomas, she should have offed herself years ago during the Clinton Admnistration.
Helen, go take a nap.
