Why God Makes Middle Fingers

Now that Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor has called it quits, just watch: we’ll all be served a big heap of liberal chutzpah. And the usual faire, I might add. In the end, I’ll toss out that age-old question to ponder: why God makes middle fingers.

Let’s go back, shall we, to every election cycle within the last thirty or so years. That’s right; I said it. EVERY election cycle.

Liberals just sit back and let their puppets in the NAACP call every Republican within arm’s reach a racist. I’m sure that somewhere, even during a Robert Byrd campaign, it’s the Republicans who are dubbed the intolerant, homophobe, jingoistic, racists.

It would be easy to waste kilobytes enumerating the many examples that prove the racism allegation one born of ignorance and hate: a truly repulsive combination. Instead I dare you liberal readers to do the research on civil rights legislation and who supported it, anti-lynching legislation (and who opposed it), and you’ll more likely than not find Democrats on the detestable end of that research. I must admit, prior to my personal conversion, I blindly believed that which I was repeatedly told. It was, to say the least, a kick in the stomach to see just how much I was the sucker when book after book, and website after website, showed me how far off I was.

Candidates, as tactic, impugn the integrity of their electoral opponents. However, Democrats fraudulently and constantly accuse Republicans of having white hoods in their closets and get dupes like Spike Lee, Harry Belafonte, and Danny Glover to repeat the false allegations over and over again, without one single example besides “because I say so.”

Then, the unmentionable happens: a Republican wins the election. This after months and months of slanderous demagoguery and character assassination. This after, purely as a political strategy, labeling someone with one of the foulest scarlet letters our society can impose on any citizen.

And when that Republican wins, without remorse… without a second thought that would show a molecule of class, liberals with no sense of humility demand that Republican they’ve slandered for months now “reach out” to them.

That, I theorize, is one reason the good Lord in his wisdom created, and continues to make to this day, the middle finger. And if the Republicans were the pigs they’re constantly being accused of, they would use them.

Instead, they further demean themselves by going to venues for town meetings, some of which are broadcast on national television. The directors love to show shots of people laughing hysterically at punching bag Republicans trying to offer an olive branch to people only looking for blood.

So now we have this Supreme Court vacancy….

Liberals warned the world that a Bush victory could mean the possibility of him selecting one or more high court judges. Looks like the American people gave those very libs the finger when they re-elected George W. Bush, and now that time has come to select the kind of judge he wants, not them.

Since before President Bush’s first election, Democrats pummeled him with allegations, insults, death threats and the like. Hollywood celebrities like Cher asked us if we were “fucking crazy” to actually vote for him. They’ve produced movies that mix fiction with even more fiction, called him a terrorist, a war criminal, and would love to impeach him as payback for the impeachment of their champion: a lying, adulterous, predator and bully of women.

Progressives took to the streets to disrupt Republican conventions, tied up traffic, and committed civil disobedience just to later whine about their treatment while in detention. Some “jokingly” placed a “Snipers wanted” graphic on Bush’s image during a late night TV show. Knowing liberals as we do, that kind of “joke” done to one of their own would result in the typical resonant screech they issue when, like the egocentric children they are, they don’t get their way or their feelings get hurt.

So after all the vilification, these same liberals now demand President Bush listen to them and nominate someone they want. They expect Bush to toss his convictions and principles out the window and forget all the hateful things they’ve said about him and done to him. Things they’ve done like bring up an old DUI case the weekend before his first election and a forged National Guard document a few weeks before his second.

Now as far as middle fingers go, besides aiding the grasping of objects, it has very few important functions. If the middle finger evolved into obscurity centuries ago, it wouldn’t be missed today. God thereby places them on our hands for a reason. How many of our darling celebrities have thanked us for supporting their million dollar lifestyles by literally giving us the middle finger when they feel unduly put upon?

It’s relevance to the replacement of Justice O’Connor…?

Technically, judge nominees shouldn’t be answering questions by grandstanding senators about cases that may come before them and of course, they’ll be asking about abortion. If a Democrat were president now, he’d nominate someone of his political leanings. But according to liberals, who consider themselves the center of the universe, that would be expected. George Bush will be granted no such courtesy.

So after the years of defamation, these intolerant liberals will now demand that the President forget all the abhorrent things they’ve said of him and break faith with his own convictions to give them what they want.

If, for some strange reason he were to oblige them, would they thank him? I wouldn’t count on it. They’d go right back to insulting him overseas hoping that their words escaped ears at home. They’d go right back to writing scripts that insult conservatives so they can pat themselves on the back in their own little circles.

Who are we kidding here? The hate speech will continue from San Francisco to Boston. The slurs will spew forth right up until Mr. Bush makes his decision. And up until that point, liberals will expect their enlightened words of hate will sway his decision their way. Talk about tortured logic. But then again, I did mention liberal chutzpah.

Some condemn the level of which political debate has sunk in America. As a Republican, I am proud to say that the undisciplined, irrational, hysterical speech does not come from our side. President Bush is a better man than I as he elects to keep that middle finger sheathed.

We should all be so disciplined.
